Leap Year 4 - New Kingdom, New Authority

All authority is established by God

Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.  Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 
Romans 13:1-2 (ESV)

From speed limits to tax law – when we rebel against authority or break the law we are in rebellion against God.  But more than that, we have been given authority as children of God and citizens of the kingdom of heaven – but we have to pick it up and use it!
